Steak and Frites in the DMV?

DMV - DC Maryland Virginia

My favorite was in PQ, Les Halles closed last week. I liked the bordelaise a lot.

Any other haunts that offer this classic meat and potatoes combo?

    1. I personally love the steak frites at Bistro D'Oc. You can also get a great steak frites at Bistro du Coin.

Been to Coin. Most flavorful Rib Eye I've had in a minute. They served it with hollandaise? or was it bernaise?

I think they serve it with their Bernaise. I use it dip my fries in :)

      2. I haven't had the steak there, but the best frites I've had in DC were at Brassiere Beck.

I wasn't wowed by that s&f combo when i had it last year.

        2. Some of the best fries (if you'll pardon my English) I've had in the area are a El Polo Rico in Arlington. It's about 2 miles from Ray's The Steaks where you can get a good steak. And the Arlington DMV office is about 3 miles away. <g> [wish you wouldn't use that acronym].

            1. Chef Geoff's downtown, around the corner from Les Halles. Hanger steak/frites.. excellent. I also like Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda.
