Really Cheap places NE Baltimore and County

I haven't been posting here in a long time - I've been on a very strict budget because my job is very much effected by the economy. Basically I'm trying not to spend much at restaurants. Here is a short list that I recently posted on The Baltimore Sun Restaurants Board of places that were really good and inexpensive.

Fiesta Mexicana in Rosedale Rt 7. (Mom and Pop all the way!)
Georgio's on Belair Rd in Perry Hall for delivery/takeout.
Double T on Pulaski Hwy in White Marsh - very consistant.
5 Guys Burgers in White Marsh near Best Buy - hot dogs are great too.
China Garden (think that's the name on Belair on Right as you head north before Kingsville)
Clementine (Harford Rd. - lunch cheap/dinner much more).

  1. Sorry to hear about your job situation. Hubby and i are in the same boat.

It's been a very, very long time since I've been there, but what about the Venetian Palace in Edgewood? Also, Red Brick Station (I think that's the name) on The Avenue at White Marsh?

Good luck--hope your situation improves. FoiGras

    1. Hello FoiGras. I'll make the best of the situation - I think things will eventually pick back up for me. Things could be a lot worse. One place that I forgot to mention that is good for a lunch buffet or for dinner is Kitchen of India on Joppa Road in Parkville near Towson. I use to go there all the time under the previous ownership and the last time we had dinner there (2-3 weeks ago?) under the newer owner it was stellar. The two dishes that we had and loved were Chicken Tika Masala and Vegetable Korma. Both of us agreed that it was the best Indian meal we have had in the Baltimore area and we have had a lot! I think I remember the check being around $29.

I have not been to Venetian Palace but I seem to remember hearing about it. I've been to the bar at Red Brick Station and was more impressed with the beers and bar atmosphere then the kitchen. I've had the Vegi burger and enchiladas (?) and neither was memorable.

I have to agree about Red Brick. I don't get what the big deal is. The beer is good, if you're in the mood for microbrews, but the food has never been decent.

I do like Della Rose's tho.

Have you tried Italian Sensations in Harford County? The closest is right on the corner of Belair and Mountain Roads, next to the car wash. Excellent italian food and the best pizza in the area (including Perry Hall, Parkville, etc). I drive up there every two weeks to get pizza and bring it home.

I forgot about Chopstix. Not that it's cheap, cheap, but considering you can take your own wine in, it is def is more affordable than most if you are going to have a drink.

Second on Della Rose's. Great sour beef and dumplings and they'll serve you a half order.
