    1. Well, for those "Great pies" you should try Jongewaard's Bake 'n Broil in Long Beach. Try the “Lemon Lush Pie” which has some crunchy crushed pecans or walnuts on the bottom of a great pie crust. Then a layer of sweetened cream cheese followed by a layer of tangy lemon. The pie is then topped with a great fresh whipped cream. The banana cream pie has the same great crust, fresh slices of banana and topped with whipped cream. The pecan pie is very good also with a decent amount of pecans. They have some special pies with a top crust which is topped with a sweet glaze -- like the cherry/peach. Go for breakfast, lunch , or dinner (very good burger special for under $10 w/ tip included has a burger, slice of pie and drink), and while you eat read the pie menu to help decide which pies to take home. Maybe the Walnut / Chocolate Chip pie? The apple is not that great, but hey... All the cakes are great. The moist Red Velvet is actually a sexy naughty crimson and those giant chocolate and German Chocolate cakes are perfect, as are the cupcakes.

      1. you got Babalu on Montana for great banana cream pie, as well as coconut cream... and you might as well get the yam fries while you're there too, alongside the grilled veggie salad :)
