Old-Fashioned Baked Beans

Where can I dine on old-fashioned baked beans (not out of a can) in the Boston area? Are there restaurants that serve beans slowly cooked in a pot, in either molasses or maple syrup? I'm also looking for places that serve Indian pudding and other traditional New England food. I'm visiting Boston next week and would love your recommendations.

Just about the only place for old fashioned Yankee cooking (including baked beans and indian pudding) is Durgin Park in Quincy Market. The food there is OK, not great. The atmosphere is from another era and it will be loaded with tourists. The main draw is their prime rib and fish entrees .

Marliave has some good baked beans with huge chunks of meat.
