D'Cache (recent) ?
I had my company dinner at D'Cache last night. The food was very solid if not remarkable, but the place was big fun. Lively, vibrant with flamenco. It also was a unique space, a old converted spanish style - house with lots of nooks and crannies.
The have a wood burning oven that turns out pizettes ( thin flatbread ) and they do a good job with meats South American style.
Ate there a few months ago. Best and largest rack of lamb (a special) I can remember eating-and I've eaten a lot of racks of lamb.It was a bit pricey- about $40 but worth it. I believe it had a chimichurri based sauce but with more flavors. Also remember the appetizer platter being very good. Sorry can't remember details. Nice room w/ fireplace but it's a little overcrowded w/ tables and therefore people. Ironically we ate in an open side room where we could see the bar and fireplace, but except for our table, it had been cleared out for a private party party they were having later that night.
Have dined there twice and LOOOOOVE it! It doesn't seem expensive but when adding everything up it is pricey....but worth every penny. Such a unique experience. Food fantastic, service amazing and great character! Entertainment is beautiful and later on everyone gets up and dances! Waitstaff and patrons!
