Going to a dinner party tomorrow night for about 16 people. I was asked to bring a dessert. Any ideas for me?

Flourless chocolate cake is always a hit, and it's pretty easy. A little slice will do, too, so a 10-inch cake would easily feed your crowd of 16. Another idea would be brownies, which are easy to transport. You could even bring vanilla ice cream and fudge sauce to put it over the top.

Cheesecake is also good. It doesn't require frosting, maybe just a little whipped cream and fruit on top.

Pecan tassies or lemon curd tassies, or a batch of each! A little whipped cream to daub on top. If you're not the only one bringing a dessert, can you check with the hosts to find out what others are contributing so you don't have just all chocolate or all coconut cupcakes?
