Unconventional Thanksgiving in New Haven area

We'd like to do something "different" this year to celebrate Thanksgiving. While there are traditionalists in our family that would still like the standard fare, we'd love to find something that could accommodate the turkey afficionados as well as other more interesting options (i.e. Italian, French, Nuevo Latino, Nouvelle American etc etc).
Any suggestions?

There's a great place that opened over the summer in Branford, Brunello's Ristorante. The DH and I had dinner there in September and I must say it was excellent.. Great Italian and a friend of mine told me they'll be serving traditional Thanksgiving fare as well.
