Christine had it in her mind that her winery owning husband had anger issues and spent the night trying to prove it to everybody. The end of the night plays out with him arguing with her ex husband about whether a wine the ex brought was a pinot or a burg. Seeing as burgs are pinots and this is a fairly general show where arguments should have been burg vs merlot or burg vs Rhone, I thought it was a pretty big gaffe and I was surprised NOBODY on the show's roster addressed it.

Actually I'm pretty sure that they were arguing over whether it was a bordeaux or a pinot...the ex-husband brought it and said it was a pinot, the winery owning boyfriend said it was a bordeaux. At least that is how I remember it....

Nope, you are right, my bad! I was sitting at dinner with my hubby this evening, asked him if he remembered and he immediately said Burgundy...doh! Maybe I had too much Cabernet to remember anything! But, as usual a great episode of a very funny show!

No it was definitely burgundy vs. pinot noir. I picked up on it too and figured the flub was going to end up as part of the plot. Still don't know if it was a mistake by the writers or if it's supposed to be an inside joke for wine lovers.

"But Richard saves the day when he bets Patrick 20 bucks that the wine they're drinking is a burgandy [sic], not a pinot. When Patrick loses, he flies into the obligatory fit... he's a winery owner after all. OC proves the point but now is in fear for her life. He may be a psychotic, but he's my psychotic."
