One day in Madrid

My boyfriend and I will have about 9-10 hours in Madrid. Where should we go for a light breakfast, lunch, and dinner? We aren't looking for the most expensive, nicest place, just somewhere with god food. Tapas would be great for lunch perhaps--where are some good ones?
We won't really have time to stray far from the center of the city, and are planning to go to the Prado and the main plaza so places around there or not too far from the airport would be helpful.

If you are doing the Prado, eating around the museum is much better than anything near the airport . There are tons of eating places west of the museum toward the center of the city. I would search this thread for tapas in Madrid. Below is a link to a recent thread (the title of the thread is misleading since there are quite a few replies regarding to eating near the museums).

Also great tapas places east of the Parque del Retiro. It is a longer but pleasant stroll from the Prado. Check the link below.

Keep in mind that most places closed around 4pm to 8:30pm.

Are you going to be here on a week day or on the weekend?
