As an infrequent writer to these boards, I wanted to add a post about the "Grill" restaurant inside of the new Canyon Ranch on Miami Beach.
I had lunch there yesterday, and although I'm not a health nut, I had a totally satisfying all organic meal: Panzanella, or Tuscan bread salad with heirloom tomatoes, and sea scallops with jicama, baby Brussels sprouts and a leek "fondue".
On recommendation of the waiter, a really fantastic watermelon- mint lemonade. All items on the menu list calories, carbs, and protein content.
Lunch for two came to about $70, with the salad at $9 and the scallops at $21 if I remember correctly.
The restaurant and hair salon are open to the public, but the rest of the property, about 500 units of condos and hotel rooms with a thousand feet of beachfront, are for guests and residents only.
the restaurant is on the ocean, and the design is a sort of organic modernism- all natural materials like wood, stone and glass tile. Parts are still under construction, too.
I'll be going back- for lunch, dinner, or maybe even breakfast if they have it.
BTW for all of you who post frequently I want to thank you for taking the time to communicate where all the great restaurants are!
