We're going to a function at GW tomorrow evening and are interested in grabbing a bite to eat somewhere between the Foggy Bottom metro station and the Marvin Center. Just something simple and light. Thanks for your help!

A couple blocks from the Marvin Center is the new restaurant Founding Farmers. Their menu is incredibly varied so you could definitely find something light. The flatbread (served on slices of a french style bread) with brie, caramelized onions and apple is delicious and light.

I'm not sure where the Marvin Center is but not that far away from the GW campus is the wonderful Taberna del Alberdero. If you are eating before 7pm you can take part in their 1/2 off tapas and sangria deal. I recommend trying the croquettes---they are the stuff that dreams are made of!

Technically, there is really nothing in between the Metro station and the Marvin Center. A couple dorms and a garage, one academic building. I will also agree with Founding Farmers. It really is quite good. Circle Bistro is close, as is Tonic if you want more bar-ish fare.

I second Founding Farmers. It is good with lots of options.
