We're headed to Las Vegas in December and haven't been in about a year and a half. Last time we ate at Mesa Grill, Burger Bar at Mandalay, Nobhill, Michael Mina and Bartolotta. The year before we went to Joel Robouchon, Commander's Palace, Delmonico and a few others that weren't memorable.

Staying on the strip, but will probably have a car. We generally like all kinds of food with the stipulation that they have to accomodate a dairy allergy. Looking for a good steakhouse, good seafood, Asian food open to all kinds just not fusion, a breakfast spot, good bars for cocktails. Price is not a huge consideration as long as there is value. Joel Robuchon was amazing, but not the kind of experience I need more than once every 5 years or so. Quality of food and service are most important factors. Atmosphere less so.

We will definitely make a lunchtime visit to In-N-Out since they don't have any in the Pacific Northwest.

I look forward to your suggestions.

I think Bar Charlie in the Palazzo is a must. I also expect it won't be long before the place closes given the present economic climate, so if it's within your budget I would jump at the oportunity to try it. Two recent reviews here:

I agree about Restaurant Charlie.

YOu've got a car ? USE IT ! Raku or Ichiza on spring mtn. Sen of Japan also on Spring mtn ( a jr. nobu - but priced right )

how about BLT burger at mirage to compare with Burger Bar ?

StripSteak i believe is "new" and worth a try - mandalay bay.

good bars ? all the high end resaurants have very creative libations. off the strip - the red room on sahara ( a little on the dark sde and i don't like that they use plastic cups but ask the bartender/mixologist to share their latest creations ) or try The lounge at the Artisan Hotel ( sahara / dean martin dr. )

enjoy !
