San Diego need a mexican market near belmont park

I'm staying at a house over the thanksgiving weekend and we want to bbq carne asada. Can anyone recommend a market that sells and marinates the meat. We will be in Mission Bay near Belmont park. Any good recs for restaurants in that area are also apreciated. Thanks

Siesel's is a full service butcher that carries several different kinds of marinated meat - both Carne Asada and Pollo Asada. Haven't actually tried their Carne, but I enjoy the sausages there. It is not in the immediate area, but is close by on the other side of the 5 freeway - a short drive away.

And if you go on a weekend to La Tiendita, pick up a few tacos from the vendor out front. yum.

Their sausages can not be beat. They also have the best burgers. They make the ground beef from the left over trimmings of the prime and choice cuts of beef.

        2. I'm not sure it even exists anymore but Mission Bay Market used to sell a superb carne asada in it's butcher shop. It is or was just north of PB Drive on the east side of the street. Anybody know if it's still in business?

You can see the Mission Beach Market in Google Street View of Google Maps. But I don't know if the photo is current or not.

I'd be surprised if is still has the butcher shop.

I too have had the Carne Asada that was sold at "Mission Bay Market" pacific beach many many years ago, it was awesome, great flavor and good meat. I am trying to locate the owner or butcher that made this. I am willing to pay for this recipe!!! If anyone knows the person responsible for this recipe please let me know. Thanks
