I would also be curious as a coworker and I were wondering if there was any Korean food available in the state of maine.

Can't speak to the church fair question, but it's a big deal every year.
Happy Teriyaki, a relatively new place on Congress, does very nice Korean food. When I was there for lunch last week there were only a couple of tables occupied. Please go, they're friendly and good and need our support.

re: the_MU
I actually ate at Happy Teriyaki yesterday and the food was quite nice, but the restaurant itself was not at all busy. I was actually the only table there around 1 p.m. for lunch. I had the spicy squid entree, which was very hot and bursting with flavor. The squid, however, was perhaps a little overcooked. My mother had the chicken yakisoba and it was spot on. The kimchee was a delight, as were the other small dishes they brought out as appetizers. I just moved up from Northern Virginia, where we have one of the largest Korean populations outside of Korea, and therefore an abundance of authentic Korean restaurants and I was still impressed with Happy Teriyaki's food. Also, be sure to visit the Asian food store right next door.

re: radiohead
I don't mean to hijack the OP's thread, but glad to see some kudos for Happy Teriyaki. The food is very good and has a homecooked feel to it. The couple who run it are SO nice, too. We've been there twice and its never busy :( I really, really want this place to stick around and hope it catches on.
btw, check on the wall near the register for posted specials - its easy to miss.
I had no idea Northern Virginia had such a large Korean population! Good to know.
We went to the Korean church fair several years ago. The offerings comprised of simple, homemade dishes that were well prepared and accessible. It was nice to share the meal with the large turnout of Korean families. In the back they had a little rummage sale with odds and ends as well.
