Love'n Bake Fillings

serenarobin Nov 19, 2008 06:41 AM

I'm wondering if anyone has used Love'n Bake fillings- they have almond paste, pistachio paste, chocolate "schmear", poppy filling etc. I saw the product in the King Arthur Flour catalogue and also at http://www.lovenbake.com. Are they any good?

Yes, I've used these products - the almond paste and the chocolate schmear. They are excellent products which I believe are produced by American Almond Company.

Thank you for the compliment. Yes, Love'n Bake is the consumer brand of almond paste, marzipan and other fillings made by American Almond Products Company in Brooklyn, NY.

Thanks Pricilla, do I have to order them from King Arthur or are they available in stores? What's the best way to get them -I have been wanting to give them a try for a while now...

You can buy directly from the company web site where you can find a list of retailers and King Arthur. Many Whole Foods in the East carry most of the items and there are retailers in different pockets of the US particularlly in metro NYC. For example Kalustyan's. Hope this helps.
