I've had it with Highgate Bakery in Burnaby!

Over $6 for two cupcakes that were stale, hard and dry as dust. How dare they sell junk like this! Their lousy baguettes cost $5 and they are no good! Not to mention their measly little $4 gingerbread men that dont taste like gingerbread. Their prices are some of the highest of any Vancouver bakery and their products suck!

I'm not entirely sure where this place is (I tried to Googlemap it, but it doesn't come up). Does it have much traffic? There must be better alternatives close by.

I could be wrong here but maybe it's the Middlegate Bakery?

That's what came up in my searches. When you Google it...the website shows up as www.shoppersdrugmart.ca - strange.

If it's as bad as you say, it won't survive. I knew a place like that in Calgary, a long time ago... it closed.

It's called Middlegate Bakery. This place has been here for ages. It was around when Highgate used to be Middlegate. It's one of those bakeries like Valley Bakery on Hastings. Things are generally meh, but people seem to like it and they get steady business.
