Dumbo recs?

Any recommendations near St Anne's Warehouse? Nothing just so-so please, I've got that at home : ) I mean a meal worth going out in the cold for. TIA

WATER STREET [pub and eats beside Jean-Georges] recently with new famous chef + oyster bar 66 Water Street]. I was there a few times a while back - very nice crowd but food ordinary. GUINNESS extraordinary
Has anyone info if the shakeup is showing promise?

Go to Five Front this is top notch neighborhood American Bistro fairly priced with excellent food. You can't go wrong and it around the corner from the St. Anne's warehouse. Good stuff check it out

Thanks so much for recommending Five Front, gennasam. It was perfect. Our meal was memorable and within our budget so we can't wait to go back. Even the kale was delicious : )

5 Front is mediocre at best. Overpriced, bland, and full of tourists. Stay away.

I agree with NYJB. Constantly disappointed by Five Front. Stopped going about a year and a half ago. Lost reservations, long waits for food and mediocre cuisine. They stay alive because of their location and cute-factor is my guess.

agree that Five Front is mediocre at best, and i've given it more than enough attempts to change that view. Hecho en Dumbo is good, I've been there a few times and have enjoyed it. Has anyone been to Vinegar Hill House yet? I'd love to hear about it as I live very close by.

Nothing in DUMBO I know of, sorry, and I have lived here for 20 years. But if you go up to Henry st there is Noodle Pudding and Henry's End, both can be quite good.

I'm a big fan of the Mexican antojitos served at Hecho en Dumbo - very tasty. Other than that, DUMBO is pretty much a culinary black hole.
