Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Manhattan

breakfast places upper east side

Do you have any recommendations for good breakfast places around 88th St., 1st Av? I happily walk some blocks for good bacon and coffee.

Any other tips for meals at any time of the day in this area are also appreciated.

thanks a lot for all the help so far

                    1. BTW, when you're at Jean Georges for lunch, check out the breakfast menu. They have one of the greatest breakfasts in town... of course, this is on the high-end of the spectrum, but it's priced no more than any hotel type place... a steal for what it is. They don't use the main dining room, they use the first dining area... called Cafe Nougatine. It's great!

                        1. My favorite place is the Gracie Mews diner on 81st and 1st. It's not like other diners. Immaculately clean and very tasty food.
