Sushi Suggestions - CC Philadelphia

Four of us are planning on going out for sushi tonight. We're looking for a place that isn't too expensive and will allow us to linger after the meal. Two that were mentioned are Mizu and Moshi Moshi. The area of center city doesn't matter too much, but most of the group would prefer the west side of Broad. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would venture to Old City and go to Zento, 138 Chestnut. BYO, and very very good sushi.

Me too. Uzu (around the corner from Zento on Front St.) is very good too. Misso is also good but a step down from those two in my opinion.

You probably won't have a problem since it's Tuesday, but Zento is pretty small, you may be uncomfortable lingering there. Misso would be better on that score, it's much bigger.

Although on the east side of Broad, Misso is good. Reasonably priced and BYO! Their tuna balls are yum! They have never rushed us out. Fuji Mountain on 20th & Chestnut is also good.

I second Misso (yes on the east side of Broad, but only a half of a block off of Broad) and they absolutely won't have any problem with you lingering after dinner.

You didn't mention if you are driving or not, but, if you are, one of the best things about Misso's location is that it is literally right next to a parking lot.

I agree- Misso would be perfect! Very close to broad, reasonably priced, and very tasty. I went recently on a Wednesday and there wasn't much of a crowd so we were able to linger.

I'll second Fuji Mountain. Shiroi Hana is also very good....could be a bit cramped if it's busy though.

I think that Shiroi Hana will let you sit upstairs if you need more room.

Thanks for the suggestions! I was pushing for Misso, but people don't feel like walking too far tonight. Looks like we're heading to Moshi Moshi.

I really like the churashi at Moshi Moshi -- I think they put a layer of panko between the fish and the rice. Nice touch. They also have an upstairs area.
