Bread Making Class

Hi,

I am interested in finding a bread making class somewhere in the penninsula (redwood city-mountain view preferred). I notice that Draeger's has cooking classes, but I did not see any upcoming regarding bread making.

I would seriously consider San Francisco Baking Institute in South San Francisco. They also run a bakery called Thorough Bread in the city on Church near Market St. Their bread is stellar.

Second that. I haven't been to their classes, but they'd be much more professionally targeted than something like Draegers for home cooks.

Their bread at Thorough Bread and Pastry really is excellent, with pitch-perfect renditions of classic breads from around the bread-eating world. They don't really have a house style, per se, because they're focused on technical control that allows them to replicate different breads in a very authentic way.

Atomica and SteveG, it sounds like we all love this place. I went by yesterday and saw that Thorough Bread has a 6 or 7 foot christmas tree made from baguette dough. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend that you stop by. I'll return with my camera.

Gee, twist my arm. :) Thanks for the tip--I'm looking forward to seeing it and I'll also pack along the camera (though I have no idea how to post pics here). It's not hard to get me to Thorough.
