Bix - What can't I miss?

Heading there for the first time on Friday, I've heard great things. Anything in particular I shouldn't miss?

    1. they do a nice job with steak tartare. . . done table side. . it's lovely. Last time I was there the hit of the table were the lamb sliders (not sure if it they are a fixture on the menu). I have always been partial to their chicken hash. . it's been on the menu forever and it might be nostalgia that is my attraction to it. For dessert try the bread pudding or the bananas foster.

        1. I second the steak tartare. The tuna tartare is also delicious - very light and the thin olive toast it is served on is buttery and crisp. I have heard great things about the lobster spaghetti. I really enjoyed the pork chop - very juicy. Have a great time!

Thank you both, I can't wait to check it out.

              • Third on the steak tartare. I also love the chicken hash, but it's kind of a love it or hate it situation.

I love Bix, but have not had their chicken hash, is it similar to a corned beef hash, but with chicken? I'll be going there in a couple weekends for a birthday dinner, I'm already checking out the menu :-)

Sort of, but iirc it's formed into patties and lightly fried on the outside. Whatever it was, it was delicious. And one of the cheapest things on the menu to boot.

Thanks! I'm sold. I like their lobster spaghetti a lot, but the budget is a bit tighter this time around, so the chicken hash sounds like a sure bet.

                        • Another vote for the chicken hash--have it almost every time I dine there.
