We are taking a Thanksgiving trip to visit the in-laws. We'll be driving from Chicago to Minneapolis. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any local Wisconsin butchers or other specialty food shops along the way where we could get homemade jerky, brats, etc. etc....

In Madison, for brats, I'd recommend Jim's Meat Market, on the north side of the city. He has close to 100 kinds in stock.

Sorg's in Darien, WI on US 14 offers a wide selection of meats and sausages.

There are also a million cheese joints along that route.
