defrosting a whole duck

The duck seems semi-thawed after 24 hours in the fridge, but it's still somewhat hard. I was hoping to cook it today. Any suggestions?

Here's what Maple Leaf Farms has to say:

Continually rinse it (in the package) in room temp water until you see it starting to thaw out.
You could leave it safely on the counter for a little while, but not for hours. I would then unpackage it, rinse and put on a big platter so it can breathe a bit & thaw more.

Or wait, let it continue thawing in the fridge and cook it tomorrow.

Ducks are usually rock hard frozen and it takes a while for them to thaw (sort of like a turkey but smaller).

You might check out Maple Leaf Farms website & see if they have any suggestions as well as the company on the label of the duck you have.
