Quick! Vietnamese Sandwich in SF?

Kim Cooper Nov 15, 2008 09:31 PM

I've been promised a trip to the Green Fair if I can come up with a place for a Vietnamese Sandwich for the trip.
The Green Fair is at the concourse at eighth and Brannon. so near there would be nice.

There's a halfway decent place 9th and bryant.. sunrise cafe. halfway decent for proximity to where you are going.

Saigon sandwiches is my favorite, tho.

Also near there is pho ha tien 2 on howard @ 5th.

Not really walking distance.....but pretty close by bike, bus, cab or car -

      Baguette Express

      Saigon Sandwich

I think they are both open on Sunday during the day, but I'm not positive. Probably worth calling first if you can.

Also, the Latte Express on 5th btwn Mission and Market has good pork banh mi. That's close to Powell BART.

Latte Express does have really good pork- and they put a decent amount on (it isn't sliced as thin as usual). It is almost a pork chop banh mi- just a note though- theirs is about 4 bucks, so not what most people expect for banh mi.
