Looking for Restaurant Near Carlton and Jarvis

We are staying at the Primrose Hotel this coming weekend and are looking for a restaurant reccomendation. I know it's a bit of a sketchy area, and we can take a cab, but would prefer something within wallking distance. Just so you know we have eaten at (and liked) Jamie Kennedy's Wine Bar, Kultura andAvalon ( God bless it's soul). Whatever you could do would be great fellow chows

A bit farther but still walkable depending on your mobility and the weather, consider Weezie's, the current "it" resto on the board. Well worth the walk or transit trip, reservations essential. Do a search on the board for reviews. No website.

Piccolo is an easy walk from the Primrose, just two big blocks east of Jarvis on the north side of Carlton.

For something more casual and right around the corner try Hair of the Dog Church and Carlton)

Both five minutes from your hotel and both Japanese but different...Kaiseki Sakura the fancier (but still casual)...Omi a hip Korean-style sushi spot that just opened...Marimba!
