They definitely have take-out.. That's about all I order from there anymore

They're super accomodating too, I can just pull up in any no-parking zone immediately in front of the building, call up my order, and the waitress gladly runs it down the stairs and right to my car.. I always throw in a tip of course, but it's perfect.. Almost like drive-through :)

I do believe you can do takeaway. But hey, just bring some tupperware with you, place your order, ask them to put it in the tupperware and away you go, and best of all, you get delicious Caplansky's without creating packaging waste...

Do you know if they'll do take out on everything - loaves of bread, mustard, etc.? Thinking of using them for an upcoming party of 25 and I would love a little one-stop shopping at Caplansky's instead of the usual Pancer's. I'll call Zane - and it sounds like he'll be accommodating - but just thought I'd check with you guys first. Also, are they open on Sundays?

Yes, they'll do takeout on everything. The smoked meat is about $14/lb. They are open Sundays, closed Mondays.

Yeah, but I'd call way in advance or get there early. By 5:30 last Sunday they were sold out of meat. I was lucky enough to score some excellent poutine, though.

never had the 'sold out of meat' problem since their original opening, but i guess with the added "press" lately it's shot way back up in popularity

glad to see things working out for them, its a great sandwich

Alas Zane is predicting a sellout sometime today. He's working hard, but with the meat taking 3 weeks to cure and the Globe not giving advance notice of the review, things went a bit awry I suspect. There's still the poutine and the soups though. Perfect post-parade dining.

I guarantee they can do something like that for you.

I was there one time and someone picked up 2lb's of meat and a loaf of bread for take-away, and asked for his mustard on the side in little cups. No problem..

I'm sure he'll set you up...last time I was there he was preparing for a dinner party which was going to be in the home of a prominent Torontonian.
