Game menu at the Fifth Floor - anyone tried it?
I read that the Fifth Floor has a game menu this month
On their website the dishes are listed but not the cost (just a range from $28 - $40).
The following dish sounds really good, but I'd like to know if anyone has tried it or any of the other game dishes. If so what did you think? If not, has anyone eaten at there at all lately? I'm hesitant to invest in the meal without knowing what my odds of deliciousness are:
"CHEUVREUIL
loin of venison, fennel and venison “croustillant”, roasted salsify juniper berry-citrus jus"
![header=[] body=[<img alt='' class='photo' src='http://www.chow.com/uploads/8/9/7/288798_usda_prime_large.jpg?20120214212253' /><br /><strong>Senor Popusa</strong>] cssbody=[user_tooltip]](/uploads/6/9/7/288796_usda_prime_tiny.jpg)
Sounds delicious! Juniper is a classic combination with venison -- unfortunately, I'm mildly allergic to it. I hope someone tries the game menu and reports back!

I haven't tried it. However on December 15th there is a special Gascon Hunters Feast menu ... $60 for four courses that supposedly Laurent Manrique hisself is putting on.
Regional dishes will iclude things like
- aligot (potato soup with truffled brie, celery and black truffle salad)
- cheuvreuil ... mentioned in the OP.
No other details on the other dishes.
