Quiet Dinner E. Vill or L.E.S.

Is there anyplace to eat on a Friday night near Sunshine Cinema where i don't need a reservation and can hear what the people I'm with are actually saying? Wouldn't hurt if the food was okay, but thats secondary. Might need some ambiance, but then again i realize that just finding a quiet place is challenge enough.

What time are you going? We had an early Friday night dinner at Ssam, and had no problems with the noise level.

      Thanks. Probably 9:30ish--after the movie.

Ah - I bet it's buzzing then! We've only gone for lunch and at six! Sorry I can't be of more help, but am not very familiar with that area.

Falai on Clinton is generally quite mellow, as is Little Giant at Orchard & Broome.

Hearth isn't too crowded these days, so you may be able to get a table without reservation.

Apizz is close by. It's cozy and relatively quiet, but a touch romantic -- don't know if that's what you're going for. I also can't speak for reservation requirements.

Moustache is small, quiet, and charming, especially when the heated outdoor garden is open. Also the food is very reasonably priced and yummy. Don't miss the lentil soup. I've never been there when it was full, but maybe I've been mostly during the week.

SSam bar is a great choice

Ssam Bar is pretty much the opposite of quiet!
