Just an FYI that Epicure Imports is having an Open Warehouse Sale on Friday & Saturday 11/21 &22.

Friday: 1:30pm - 6:00pm
Saturday: 9:30am - 2:30pm

We went to the last few Open sales and got some delish french cheese, wine, charcuterie, truffles and much more. So excited to get some good food for our Thanksgiving party this year! See you there!

FYI, the last time I went, I got prosciutto and jamon and it cost the same or more than buying the exact same stuff at Jons Market or even Surfas. So be aware, it is enticing but some of the deals are not really deals. Their dried fruits are so much more than Trader Joe's and you have to buy such large quantities.

Of course, the quality at Epicure is way better.

I wouldn't count on that for all items. Be sure to check the expiration dates, especially on their spices. Last time (March 08?) I thought I bought a fabulous container of curry powder, only to find out that it had expired at the end of 2007. Some of the dried fruits are great deals, but not all (i.d., raisins not a great price esp. compared to Trader Joe's, but figs and currants probably are.)

I am mostly going for the cheese, that for sure is a GREAT deal and some cheese is very difficult to find in retail stores.

It was the exact same brand of Jamon and the dried fruit looked awful. The domestic proscuitto was also the same as you get at Albertsons or Jons. IT WAS THE SAME and the Jamon was $4 a lb more than Jons market!
