Mini bagels in Chicagoland

angiemail Nov 14, 2008 05:38 AM

Hi. I'm looking for recommendations for bagel bakeries that also make good mini bagels. I'm in the city (Loop), but do travel throughout the city/burbs. Thanks in advance.

New York Bagel & Bialy on Tuohy Ave. in Lincolnwood has the best bagels in the area. They carry mini bagels, but I've never tried them. Assuming that they are the same quality as their regular size bagels, I am sure the minis are good.

I'm pretty sure Kaufman's has mini bagels. Kaufman's has excellent bagels and other Jewish deli food. They're on the south side of Dempster about half a mile east of the Edens Expressway (I-94) exit, just east of the CTA station for the Yellow Line.

Oh, and in addition to all their standard-size bagels and the minis, they also have extra-large bagels!

NYC Bagel on Sheffield and North makes great mini-bagels. Must be there early or they'll be gone. I think they deliver for large enough catering orders.

Looks like I have at least a few options here---thanks to all for the suggestions. (I'll do a mini/maxi bagel crawl and report back with results...)
