Special Bistro, open on Monday?

My mother and I will be in Paris to celebrate her 60th bithday, which happens to be on Monday. We have a fancy meal planned for later in the week (Le Grand Vefour), but for our first meal -- and her actual birthday -- we are looking for the perfect warm, cozy bistro. Food is most important, but a good neighborhood to soak in the atmosphere of Paris would also be nice.

Consider Josephine, Chez Dumonet, warm, cozy, good food, plus you can order ½ portions of most items. She may find l'Ami Jean a bit too cozy(crowded and boisterous with other diners elbows pratically in your plate).

She may mostly find it closed on mondays.

Monday is tricky. La Fontaine de Mars seems to fit the bill. Probably Chez Denise indeed does as well indeed.

Call Le Grand Vefour and request Colette's Table', perfect location for table of 2. Bistros as this site and l recommend are Chez Denise in first arron and Chez L'Ami Jean in seventh arron
