Where to buy goose?

Anyone know of a supermarket that sells goose around the holidays? (Preferably in the SGV or Pasadena area) Thanks!

We bought ours at Whole Foods last year...and still have a container full of goose fat in the fridge to use for something special!

That's something to think about, since a liter container of goose fat has to run at least $20 (just guessing, as my last purchase of duck fat was $14, over a year ago). You could consider this a partial subsidy of the rather frightening purchase price!

      Most Chinese markets have them.

99 Ranch and Hawai'i Markets both come immediately to mind.

I saw it just the other day being advertised at the Gelson's in North Hollywood. Or is that Valley Village? The one on Laurel Canyon Blvd and Riverside Drive.

it's usually frozen, but "harmony farms" in la crescenta, generally has a lot of neat "exotic" stuff.

I see it on a regular basis at Ralph's Fresh Fare.

With the many responses in the thread mentioned by Joe Blowe, the Gelson's in Pasadena would be my first choice, then Bristol Farms or How's on Huntington Drive.
