Vietnamese in Cambridge?

The only Vietnamese restaurant I know in Cambridge is Le's (formerly Pho Pasteur) in Harvard Square and it's been less than fantastic the last couple of times I've been there.

I go to Xihn Xihn in Chinatown quite a bit from work, but living in Cambridge I'd like to find a go-to place closer to home.

Any suggestions from the 'hounds?

Well, I'm glad I wasn't just missing someplace. I've read so many travails of the Super 88 grocery store, is the food court still running and a good place to go?
I guess I'll just have to go to Chinatown.

Yes, the Super 88 food court is separately operated and is still going just fine (and pretty busy most of the time.)

There are a couple places in Everett, if that's not to far and one in Medford Square that I think is just ok. Le's is pretty terrible though.

tough order! I'm in Somerville and I'd rather go to the Super 88 or Chinatown than deal with Harvard Square. but I'd also like to see what people have to say. I've seen a place I think it's called Pho 9 (or some number) on rt 16 but don't know how good it is

If it's Pho 2000 on Rt. 16 in Everett you are thinking of, it's not good.

It's strange there is such a lack of Vietnamese food in Cambridge because it's so student budget friendly and healthy. For my money I'd shoot over to the food court at Super 88.

Yep. You're right. Have you tried it? I found it to be pretty poor on my one visit.
