Dinner Rec in Sydney - Rocks or Circular Quay

Can someone recommend a good (but affordable i.e. $20AU entree) restaurant in Sydney in the Rocks or Circular Quay areas? We'd prefer someplace somewhat trendy with a good "scene". Any type of food is ok, but we especially enjoy sushi or Latin.

The Argyle in the rocks will suit your need for trendy, but a beer and a sandwich will run you about 20 dollars. Its pub food mostly.

kmh is right, the rocks doesn't have that much going for it apart from pub food. Cirqular Quay has more fine dining than anything else. Chinatown is definitely the best option. Honest Japanese at a moderate price, check out Wagaya (opposite the Entertainment Centre) Its a pretty trendy place and should fit in with your budget too.

I presume you mean $20 Main course (an entree is what we eat as a starter)
That's not a great deal of money particularly in a touristy/inner city area particularly if you are after a great meal.
You will probably be able to eat some good pub food - another reader frequently mentions the lord nelson. Neither sushi nor latin (latin americaN?). Sailors Thai is in the area, perhaps you can eat at the canteen part for $20 but not sure.
You'd be better off heading up George st to China town if budget is your primary concern.
