Lunch in Lakeview

Hi folks,
After moving here over the summer, I'm still learning my way around and enjoying my culinary adventures.

I have a meeting with a colleague in Lakeview tomorrow and we'll hoping to have an early lunch before heading into our meeting. We'll be at Ashland and Belmont for our meeting. I tried Wishbone near there for another meeting and wasn't impressed. Any other suggestions for two ladies to have a nice early lunch?

Price isn't really a concern, we'd prefer table service. We both like ethnic foods and are pretty adventurous.

Thanks in advance!

Bittersweet Bakery serves a lovely, light lunch. It can be a bit crowded, however.

You could go to Southport Grocery at 3552 N Southport. It's delicious!

You might want to give Julius Meinl a look at Southport and Addison. Primarily known as a coffeehouse and pastry-shop, but its more substantial fare has been getting some good marks of late:

How about Sola? It's a very nice, contemporary American restaurant, and they're open for lunch on Thursdays and Fridays. It's about 3/4 mile north of that intersection, straight up Lincoln. Note - the address is at 3868 N. Lincoln, but there's almost no visibility on Lincoln; the entrance is around the corner on Byron. www.sola-restaurant.com
