The bistro at Maia is pretty good in terms of quality of food. Dunno if they have bbq though!

Yeah, the downstairs bistro at Maia is a great choice. I don't think they have bbq but they do have a very good burger and a great reuben.

Definitely the burger or pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries from 333 Belrose.

The maia burger is great, also the market there was excellent too.

While not BBQ or burgers, my favorite place by Villanova is an asian restaurant

Take your son to the Campus Corner, a hole-in-the-wall on the edge of campus bordering Lancaster Avenue. Try their pizza steak. Fabulous!

thanks all for your help! just returned and had an early dinner at maia that was very good. the proscuitto flatbread was very nice but the croquettes were extremely dry. my son enjoyed the burger and i devoured the pork chop, both were well executed. service was friendly and yet professional and though it was off hours the place still looked great. i wonder what it's like on the weekends? fyi, they overmark their entire wine selection [that's in comparison to ny prices then again i don't know pa's]
regardless, it was a great choice!!
