No Juice Grapefruit
I bought a bag of grapefruit. There is hardly any juice and the fruit is too hard to eat. Aside from the trash any creative ideas to use them?

halve one, sprinkle with brown sugar (i use dark) and put under the broiler till the sugar bubbles. that should soften up the fruit, too. (with another, try rolling it as you would a lemon to get more juice prior to cutting.)
the grapefruits are unripe. do they taste sweet? did you buy locally or from some mail order? seems a wee bit early in the season for harvest, but there are different varieties. here is some excellent info on varieties: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf507249.tip.html
here is a couple of recipe/use ideas. the salad one is intriguing. http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf507249.ti...
