quiet spot for dinner
I'm meeting an old friend for dinner this weekend and would like to find a nice restaurant with interesting food and a decent wine list, but with a quiet, casual, comfortable ambiance so we can have a chance to catch up and have a nice conversation w/o being forced to listen to neighboring diners. I've found that, at least in Boston, such places are becoming hard to find these days. My hotel is right off Farragut Sq, so anywhere that is a reasonable metro ride from there is fine. Price is flexible, although we'd probably like someplace in the mid range (~$20-30 entrees).
Any recommendations?

Bistro D'Oc, a wonderful french bistro near Metro Center sounds perfect for you. The food is very good, it's in your price range, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing.
Other places to consider would be Tabard Inn (Dupont Circle) and Creme (U St). I'm not positive what their wine lists look like but I know that they do have wine. :)
