Bday dinner in E-ton

Wanting to try something new....would you suggest Skinny Legs & Cowgirls or Wildflower Grill? Have not been to either. Friends from Calgary will be joining us.

Normally I'm not one to repeat other people's comments without having tried a place myself, but out of all the reviews of SL&C I've read, both on this forum and in local newspapers, there have been issues with service and the food has ranged from great to poor. I had this place on my own list to check out for a while but as I read more and more negtive feedback, decided against it. Do a search on this forum for more details from those who have actually been, then decide for yourself.

I have been to Wildflower for a kind of "special occasion" (friend visiting from far away) and all 6 in our party really enjoyed our meals. On the expensive side, but food, service and surroundings lived up to the price point.

I have to agree egon, as the so-so reviews have delayed me from visiting. Let us know what you choose cleo.

My one venture to SL&C was great, despite the mediocre (even wierd) service). Food was wonderful, and the family-style dishes might be a nice treat for a birthday.

Wildflower is on my list of places to try...
