Guliana Mexican Deli on Kimball Ave in Yonkers

This place just opened in the former Curry Spot location (right at Mile Square Road and Kimball Ave intersection). I stopped in today for lunch and was impressed. Very good soft shell tacos. I got the Mexican style (radish, onion, cilantro) rather than American (lettuce, tomato and such). The spicy pineapple pork was especially yummy. I'll be back to try some more menu items and will report back. They deliver. They're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
They have tacos, burritos, tortas, enchiladas and some mexican specialties. It looks like they're still in their getting ready phase, but the food really was quite good.
There's nothing like this in the area that I know of, just thought I'd put it out there so local hounds knew there was a new place to try.

Try allmenus.com. Stopped by the other day during lunch, I tried the carnitas taco and my friend tried the american quesadillas with chicken. Everything was great. The homemade guacamole was just great. For dessert we had flan and rice pudding both tasted really good.

Tried in vain to search for a menu online (seems most places I am interested in do not have Web pages...annoying!).

Too bad about the curry spot. The food was OK, but I think the atrocious decor killed them. Glad to have anything other than chinese and italian.

There seems to be another Curry Spot on Katonah in Woodlawn. Not sure if it's the same people. Anytime I was in there when it was onm Kimball, it seemed they were taking delivery orders for Woodlawn anyway.

Just an update...I've made this place a regular stop now and have tried a few other items.
The tamales, and grilled chicken tacos are both worth a try. The burrito that I had was good, but nothing particularly special. They have specials now, as well!

Sounds great! Is it right near Cross County Mall?

Yes it is. If you leave CC via Vredenburgh Ave and head towards Kimball, make a right onto Kimball and it's a few blocks down.
The couple who own it are very nice and often offer suggestions. One other perk...they have Mexican CocaCola (made with sugar, not HFCS).

Also very happy to have them in the neighborhood, since Burrito Poblano is a bit further away. Tacos carnitas were very good, but their pico de gallo is strangely sweet and not nearly as good/addictive as burrito poblano in Tuckahoe.
