Near the Sheraton

scarsdalesurprise Nov 12, 2008 07:54 AM

I will be in Seattle for a business meeting, and will have the opportunity to go for a couple of meals apart from the group. One would be lunch on Sunday, and the other would be a dinner either Sunday or Monday. Does anyone have any suggestions that are within walking distance of the Sheraton downtown? Any type of cuisine is great, though I'd like to keep in on the casual side.

Tango up the hill. Small plates, tapas style. Don't miss the mushrooms with sherry and serrano ham. The El Diablo dessert is a Seattle classic (best eaten by two unless you have an unlimited appetite for chocolate). http://www.tangorestaurant.com/

Most things in the core downtown + Pike Place Market area + Belltown + the hill up to Capital Hill are walkable from your hotel. When I stayed downtown it was great to walk a great meal off of on the way home.

Taking your stipulations and situation into consideration... Suggestions- HoneyHole Sandwiches, Ristorante Machiavelli, Palomino's for HH, Umi Sake House, Txori, The Palace Kitchen (the burger is great), Le Pichet, Top Pot Donuts, The Frontier Room, Pike Brewery, the Crepe stand outside the convention center* and most things in the Pike Place Market for lunch or early dinner- Matt's in the Market, I Love NY Deli, Mee Sum, Cafe Yarmarka, piroshky piroshky, Uli's Sausages, Three Girls Bakery, etc.
