Is it easy to get a table this way or are they pretty full. We don't mind sitting at the bar but would like to do the tasting menu, is it possible to do that at the bar?

Normally, you will not have difficulty getting a table at lunch as a walk-in. However, note that next week, EMP is among the restaurants participating in the "OpenTable Appetite Stimulus Plan" (Nov. 17-21), when they will be offering a 3-course lunch prix-fixe for $24 --the equivalent of Restaurant Weeks. So, that might complicate getting a table as a walk-in. As far as the bar is concerned, I'm pretty sure they serve the lunch Gourmand tasting there, but you can call and ask.
