best hk style cafe in Richmond Hill/markham area?

Thanks for the recommendations! I haven't been in town for 3 yrs and I can't really think back to what I really liked or thought was good. I just went to the ones at time square or first markham place..... but I can't really say they were fantastic but the hit the spot at the time...

I see, so I guess you are referring more to the HK style western food like Maxim, Firefly of FMP and Goldsor of Time Square ? Not the Cha Chan Tang style (茶餐廳) ? Goldsor and Firefly has gone downhill a lots with the few time I tried there recently !

If 'deep tou fan' is more of what you're looking for, you might want to try Keung's Delights in the T&T plaza on Warden + Steeles. Not true HK cafe style but they cover the basics.

Which one do you like before ? Agree Phoenix is good, or Sweet Heart Cafe (Hwy 7 , west of Kennedy) for it's HK style sizzling steak ?

Golden Horse (金馬) is the chinese name of Sweet Heart Cafe. Sounds more familiar ?! They had renovation like 3 years ago but still HK cafe style like. Nothing spectacular there, but they do pretty good HK style cafe food and HK style sizzling steak/seafood in Toronto !

Sweetheart's on the north side, a couple of plazas west of Kennedy. It's kind of its own stand-alone place with the rest of the plaza to the left of it. I shoulda checked it out before... a buddy of mine (Johnny) used to be a server there for awhile and said it was good.. no idea if he's still there though.

'Phoenix' on the east side of Woodbine just north of Steeles is one.of the best.
