I agree the food is good at other places mentioned already, but the ambience of relaxation and high quality is definitely at Cafe Mozart. Quaint, friendly, kind of dark. They might even have a piano player that day.

Cedar Creek is right across the street from the old Mission. Nice patio, ambiance and I've never been disappointed with the food. I love the open face prime rib sandwich.

Rendezvous is nice, IMO. Setting is very nice but fun too (it's in a vintage train car), service is fine and food is quite good. It's right next to the SJC train station.

some people wax eloquent about Ramos House, granted different kind of food and ambiance, but I think i L'H. is more consistent, and very close to the Mission.
