UES brunch/lunch, kid friendly

would like to identify a pleasant restaurant on the upper east side for weekend brunch that would be tolerant of a lively two-year-old, her parents and their friend. thanks

EJ's Luncheonette at 73rd and 3rd. Lots of families there!

When the god-kids are visiting (ages 2 and 3 months), we tend to go to Eli's Vinegar Factory (91st between 1st and York) or more recently, Big Daddy's diner (2nd Avenue at 83rd Street). I was at Sarabeth's yesterday and there was no wait at 9 am, but by 9.10 there were about 4 groups waiting. When we left at 10 am the wait seemed to be 30+ minutes.

Sarabeth's up on Madison is certainly kid-friendly, but there is often a line. Another nice place is Square Meal, but they are not currently serving alcohol, in case that is an issue.
