Arriving Late
My flight lands at 10:45 PM on Sunday the 16th. It'll probably be close to midnight by the time I get to my hotel, the Hilton Riverside on Poydras. Are there any good spots really close to the hotel where I can get something quick, maybe to go?
Thanks!

Clover Grill, Quartermaster Deli, Checkpoint Charlie's, or very close to Canal, my favorite late night Quarter food spot, The Alibi on Iberville. All serve 24/7.

verti mart is open 24/7. it's closer to the other end of the quarter but they do deliver in the quarter and marigny. just not sure if deliver would extend to the hilton, which is technically the CBD, I guess, but pretty close to the quarter. one of my favorite late night eats is the pizza at club decatur (204 decatur), which is some of the best in the city, imo.

I wish I could help, but by then . . . .
I'm flying in on Thursday, 11/13. I usually time it such that we arrive sometime around 2-3pm. By the time we get our bags (at MSY, that can take forever!), and check-in to our hotel (International House), Acme for oysters & beer is a short walk and a late lunch away . . . then, we're in great shape for a late dinner. (I know; no help whatsoever. Sorry.)

if you're taking a cab, you could pick up on the way to hotel.
call Port of Call, Ernst Cafe, Coop's, Clover Grill›6 Replies-
re: edible complex
I seriously doubt that Ernst will be open at midnight on a Sunday, and I am not sure about Port of Call either.
Check out this list for some ideas, but I would call to check because it is really tough to find a place open past midnight on a Sunday.

I feel your pain. We did similar on the last two trips. At the Hilton, we did Drago's (a little bit earlier than you) and were horribly disappointed.
Previous trip, we were at the Ritz-Carlton and I did in-room, when wife arrived at 1:00AM. That was much more than I had experienced earlier at the Rit dining room. It was some of the best in-room that I have done in decades. Still, that does not help you.
We did not do in-room at the Hilton, so I cannot help there.
In the "good old days," you'd get several recs., but now is a different time. I hope that some local can fill you in, but it might well be that you need to dine at your departure airport (I know - shudder), and then get busy with NO dining the next AM.
Good luck,
Hunt
