GE Profile™ 30" Built-In CleanDesign Electric Cooktop

We were just looking at one of these as I hate our wolf ceramic 30 inch cooktop. Why do I hate it? The flat control touch system is capricious and unreliable. There are` so many times I have set a burner to a temp that I want only to find it has reset to simmer simmer and vice versa so the GE appealed to me because it has knobs. Any experience with either would be greatly appreciated as the GE is about 900 bucks, give or take a possible sale at Lowe's. I am dreading trying to cook TG dinner on the Wolf as it really acts up when I have multiple burners going.

thanks

I love it, except for the fact that you have to clean the knobs. It is very reliable and a great cooktop.

Ironically, I was disappointed that my existing cabinetry would not accommodate the Dacor model with a flat control system. I actually settled on the GE, and it is a great cooktop.
