Any nice Egyptian restaurants in northern NJ?

Here are reviews of a couple of Egyptian restaurants in Jersey City. Anybody been?

I'm adding these places to my list of restaurants to try.

Thanks, Ike. Those sound really interesting. I now find myself occasionally in Jersey City and it looks like it is a mini Cairo (or Alex). I will definitely look for these places the next time I am there.

Having spent a not inconsiderable amount of time in Egypt, I can be fairly certain in saying that the nice Egyptian restaurants that might exist in northern NJ are probably Lebanese...

        Any Lebanese you would recommend?

Sorry, no. I think the best Lebanese restaurants are probably in Manhattan, but I don't live in NJ, so I really don't know! What Egyptian food, in particular, are you looking to have?

There are tons of Lebanese/Turkish restaurants on Main Ave. in northern Clifton and just across the border in Paterson. I haven't tried a lot of Lebanese places in northern NJ but Kamil's in Clifton is outstanding. It is far better than any Lebanese or Turkish restaurant I've tried in Manhattan, so Roxlet, I'd say your supposition is quite incorrect.

Perhaps so, but these things are always a matter of opinion, and since I have never eaten at any of the places you mention, I would be prepared to be wrong if I ever go over that way to try them. Big if since I've never even been there!
