In search of Egg Nog Ice Cream

brandygirl Nov 8, 2008 03:07 PM

I love all things egg nog. I look forward to Baskin Robins Egg Nog ice cream every year. Does anyone else make it? I've never noticed it in the grocery store or other ice cream shops.

Oh, sure. Dryers (I'm on the West coast; it's Edys in the East) does, and I'm sure some of the store brands do. The problem, as you've acknowledged, is that it's a seasonal flavor (as is my favorite, peppermint stick, for the most part). It should start appearing in stores soon, if it isn't there already.

Your peppermint stick is ready for you at Ralph's. I love peppermint ice cream. I don't wait for it, I buy vanilla and crush peppermint candy and add it to the ice cream as I scoop it into a bowl. YUMMMMM

YES! Häagen-Dazs makes a great one with a caramel ribbon through it. it's the best egg nog ice cream i have tasted. you can find it in stores seasonally.

I will have to keep a sharper eye out, or call some stores in my area to see if they carry the Dryers or Haagen Dazs egg nog. Thanks!

Fosselman's makes it. I've had it. Tasty.

Do you know if Fosselman's egg nog is available anywhere else but Alhambra? I live in the SFV, and Alhambra is quite a drive.

            Call and ask Fosselman's.

They are a local supplier to alot of restaurants and shops (too many to name, and several that would come as surprises).

But note that most, if not all, of Fosselman's specialty or seasonal flavors are reserved for their in-store sales, and not shipped out to vendors.

I saw it at Ralph's in Sherman Oaks, Ventura and Hazeltine, yesterday. It was next to the pumpkin ice cream. I think it was Dreyer's. There may have been another brand.
