Are there good eats in Brasilia???

Hello,

I'm traveling to Brasilia next week for business and then on to Rio. I'll be in Brasilia for four days. Any suggestions for good food in the capital city?

    1. Yes there are.Brasilia is a fascinating city and I had some great meals there for sure.Brasilia is located in the state of Goiania, a federal district, and near Matto Grosso and Minas Gerais, one of my favorite cuisines in Brazil.Minas is the dominant influence here and you will find many mineiro kitchens.

churrasco-Fogo de Chao, Porcao, and Stella Grill, yes the first two are in the US with a Porcao just opening in NYC, but its not the same and the price is much lower. These are all world class.Right now the best steak in Brasilia is an Argentine place called Corrientes 348, but I would hit the churrasco either here or in Rio.Rio also has Porcao.

comida mineira-Feitico Mineiro(best), and Esquina Mineira

      Nordestina-Xique-Xique

      Matto Grosso-Feijao Verde

      Patu Anu-indigenes

      Mouravia Casa-Portuguese

      Juice-Bandito Suco

      Pizza-Baco(Brazilian pizza is amazing)

      salgados-Sweet Lake(Brazilian savories)

      Seafood-Bargaco

And, for Goiania and Mineira cuisine, Don' Durica por kilo(food weighed by kilo)is a great way to sample local cuisine.Go here for lunch and grab as many Brasilia eats as possible. There you go, a regional Brazilian culinary tour.

Also, hit the bars for beer, choppe, and the scene.

      Hope that helps:)
